Last night saw the presentation night for season 2009-10. This brings our season to a close, and we now look forward to a new challenge in the Welsh Alliance Division 2, and a chance to move the club forward again to a better level, on and off the pitch. This all started for the Management team weeks ago of course with the search on for new players, and the challenge of keeping our current lads at the club, in the face of some top teams after our top players. Pre season training starts Saturday June 19th. Anyone interested in playing for the club is welcome on the day, or feel free to contact Daz on 07900805835.

Superb in every position throughout the year. Every attribute needed for a top CM, and after moving into CB to cover for injuries, argueably even better in the back 4.

After joining a couple of games into the season from Bethesda, Paul came in and added his undoubted quality down either wing
3rd - James Saxon
Really kicked on this season, and took the role of Vice Captain and stamped his mark on games more. Scored some really important goals and maybe you could say realised his potential this year.

This coming Saturday June 5th sees the GFC presentation night for season 09-10. The venue is Llangefni FC, starting at 7pm. There will be a karaoke and a buffet provided.
Anyone wishing to come, there will be a charge of ?5 per ticket to cover the food and entertainment (other than players and partners of course).

Yesterday saw the annual Dewi Williams memorial game, with the ex-players going down to a 5-2 defeat. A really good day once again and an opportunity to remember a dear friend to many of the clubs fans and members.
Last Friday, the club received our official invitation to the newly formed Welsh Alliance Division 2, along with Bodedern Athletic and Caernarfon Wanderers, with Bethel missing out from the shortlisted applicants. A great opportunity to take the club on, and along with entering the Welsh Cup and FAW Trophy, an exciting season is to be looked forward to.
A meeting was held last Wednesday regarding Welsh Alliance Division 2. The make up of the league is still to be decided, but information given was that 3 Gwynedd League sides will enter, with Gaerwen, Bodedern, Caernarfon Wanderers and Bethel all shortlisted. A decision will be made next Friday 28th.
Dewi Williams Memorial Match
This will return to the original format of Gaerwen young boys versus old boys. The match takes place Sunday May 30th at 12 midday in Lon Groes. We hope to see a big turn out again to continue to support Dewi's memory.
Pre Season
Training will start Saturday June 19th at 1pm. The club are always looking to recruit new players, and anyone interested should please contact Manager Daz Meredith on 07900805835. Interest in new signings so far has been really productive, as we look to build a stronger squad for next season's challenges. We can confirm that we have entered the Welsh Cup for the first time, for next season.
Training will be held every Monday and Thursday with 6 pre season fixtures to be added to the schedule for pre season 2010-11.
Presentation night
This year's presentation night will be held at Llangefni FC, Saturday June 5th at 7pm. All players and partners are of course invited, where a buffet and disco/karoake is being put on.
